Powerful and Comfortable…A Look at the 2021 Jaguar F-Type

May 21, 2021

By 2025, Jaguar plans to be all-electric, which means that the roar of the supercharged 5.0L V8 in the F-Type P575 range will be a thing of the past. However, Jaguar has now introduced a more affordable and less powerful version before this happens. This version will be available in the upcoming F-Type P450 variant in both all-wheel and rear-wheel layouts.

The P450 will have a 5.0L V8 that is less powerful with 331kW and 580Nm. It can hit 100km/h in 4.6seconds with a top speed of 285km/h. The engine is paired with a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission with completely adaptive dampers.

There are three drive modes, those being Sport, Dynamic and Rain, Ice and Snow. In Dynamic mode, the suspension is toughened, which means that the exhaust note is louder and the throttle response is sped up. With the Rain, Ice and Snow mode power is limited for better control in corresponding weather.
