There are three SUVs you should know about that will be hitting the SA market this year.

February 2021 marked the unveiling of the new Mazda CX 30 in the South African market. Originally, the SUV was going to be announced last year but with the Coronavirus, the launch was delayed.

The Mazda CX 30 sits between the CX 3 and the CX 5. The CX 30 will be about 12cm longer than the CX 3 but 12cm shorter than the CX 5 according to CarMag. The engine and suspension will be borrowed from the Mazda 3.

South African consumers will have two engine choices those being the 1.5-litre petrol engine generating 88kW with 153Nm and the 2.0-litre petrol engine creating 121kW with 213Nm.

Suzuki Brezza

The Suzuki Brezza will find a place between the Ignis and Vitara and is expected to hit the roads in the first quarter of 2021. The details of the South African Suzuki Brezza haven’t been shared, but here is what the Indian built Brezza will offer.

The Suzuki Brezza will have a 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces 77kW and 138Nm of torque with either a manual or automatic transmission. For the Indian market, the Brezza will only be front-wheel drive.
